About the Artist: Brenda Dowedoff (n.Desjardins) comes from a proud Métis family of mixed Cree, Saulteaux and French descent. Born in Neepawa, Manitoba and raised in Treaty 2 territory. She currently reside in unceded Syilx territory in southern British Columbia, Canada.

Her father taught her to “never throw away anything that the birds can’t eat.” Which was a reminder to appreciate and respect all that our Creator has given us.
She endeavors to use as much naturally and locally sourced materials, as possible, in her products.
